Dear Ladygai,

Thanks for your enquiry.

Our EFAs do not use the cold press method, instead we use a carbon dioxide extraction method which works more effectively.

Cold pressing owrks well if the seeds are large, like orange or grapefruit seeds. However, evening primorse seeds are microscopically small.

When they are poured into the rotary type cold press machines, teh revolutions of the machines must be turned up extremely high to extract the oil from such tiny seeds. In saying that by increasing the revolutions, it increases friction, which in turn becomes heat. Hence about 60% of the powers of these oils are destroyed before it gets to you. Therefore capsules are not as effective as you want them to be or they should be.

The carbon dioxide method is a much more expensive extraction method but this method ensures all bioactive properties are intact.

Hope this helps you~

Cheers,
Amy
